Our Black Bear hunts are based on a 5 day package. Accommodations, license and allocation fees, local transportation, field dressing and guide fees are included. Quality stands on active baits are located on both private and crown land in this South Interlake Region.

 

On your Bear hunt, you may use your weapon of choice. Rifle, muzzle-loader or archery equipment are all permitted. We have both spring and fall seasons. All colour phases are found in the area with black being most dominant.

 

What to Expect on Your Bear hunt:

  • Airport pick-up upon arrival
  • Provide your own meals (if flying, we can pick-up groceries on the way to camp from air-port)
  • Linens and towels provided
  • Full kitchen with utensils and cookware
  • Light house keeping rules for cabin
  • BBQ grill on porch
  • Sitting from mid-afternoon until 1/2 hr after sunset
  • Making cell (texting) or radio contact when necessary (radios supplied by outfitter)
  • Large hang-on stands are approximately 15 feet c/w tree steps or climbing sticks
  • 15 foot ladder stands
  • Gun hunters may request shooting rails
  • Shooting and being comfortable at 15 feet
  • Shooting from sitting or standing position
  • ATV drop-off and pick-up to bait and stand locations
  • Wait for guide before trailing hit animal
  • Dealing with adverse weather conditions
  • All stands are equipped with seat cushions, rope pulls and accessory hangers
  • 3-D archery range at camp to practice during daytime
  • Gun range 5 miles from camp

What to Bring on Your Bear hunt:

  • Daypack
  • House shoes or slippers
  • Cell phone
  • Waterproof footwear
  • Personal harness (if you don’t want to use the ones supplied)
  • Bw hanger
  • Light coloured camo or cover up as most of our stands are in poplar trees, real-tree hardwoods snow or mossy oak tree stand or similar work well
  • Camo rainwear (depending when you hunt)
  • Scent eliminator spray
  • Lure and cover scent
  • Camera
  • Range finder
  • Compact binoculars
  • Thermacell
  • Flashlight, headlamp or both
  • Medications / toiletries
  • Thermos
  • Cold beer, liquor and tobacco available near-by
